Hello my sweet crafty friends and welcome to my blog.  Hope you are all having a wonderful day.

I cannot believe it is the 1st of August already!!  Where has this year gone???  Flew past me at the speed of sound I think .. won't be long and we'll be celebrating Christmas again.  Didn't that happen only a couple of weeks ago???  Scary!!

Anyways, I'm back to share another masculine card with you today.  This is a fairly clean and simple card made for a close friend who celebrated his birthday recently.

The papers used are some left-over scraps from other projects so it's a bit of  a mix.  Some from Kairsercraft some from Prima and some from Megs Garden.  Some layers were cut in my trimmer, some were distressed and some were simply torn to size.

Added a little stamping too.  The ink splat was made with a Kaisercraft stamp and archival ink.

Ran the base layer through a Tim Holtz die for a bit of interest.  Such a simple thing to do but it is so effective.  Love the look.

Used a Scrapmatts chippie for the greeting.

The usual pockets on the inside ..

.. and .. voila!!

 All done!!!

Thank you so much for dropping by and looking at my little creations .. I very much appreciate you taking the time.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and that the weather is kind to you.  'Till next time ..
Take care and God Bless.

Love is the only force capable of turning an enemy
into a friend.

  2. Hi Marg, I hope your monday has been good.. the nights and mornings here have been cold, but the days have been warming up beautifully.. I hope spring is just around the corner, but perhaps a few more cold days before then... and I am with you.. how did it get to august.. are we all just slowing down..hehe.. I do not know!! Love your card, blokey and masculine and that stamp is one of my favourites too.. love the inside as well as the cover!! I hope this week is a good one for you Marg!!

  3. I reckon that die cut bit really adds a great deal of interest! LOVE it :) And the splat stamp. One of my faves!!! August. Eeek! Hope you're getting back into those Chrissy cards, now!!!!!

  4. I have never been into cardmaking and now that I am back and playing I am really enjoying cards and the freedom that these little projects give... anything from layers to watercolour and stamping... I have just bought that die too and I can't wait to use it :D Love coming here for the inspiration.

  5. Fabulous masculine card Margaret! I love neutral for a male card, and you have so many wonderful layers of neutral designs! I know what you mean about the year flying by too quickly. I can't believe summer is almost over (and we still haven't had any rain!!). Cheers :)
