My Final Post for 2Crafty Chipboard

Hello everyone and welcome to my bloggy place.  Hope you are all having a wonderful day!

Feeling a bit sad right now.  As the Title suggests this is my last post for 2Crafty as my term on the Resident Guest Design Team has ended.  It has been a wonderful experience for me.  Being on this Team with all these wonderfully talented ladies was a dream come true.   I have so enjoyed working with these amazing chippies.  Thank you so much Vanessa for having me on this incredible Team and also to you and Di for all the support you have provided along the way.  It has been a fantastic experience!!

So, onto my projects.  This time I have created an altered Gift Bag, a Tag and a card.

'The Altered Gift Bag'

2Crafty Chipboard used

Dreamcatchers
6 x 6 Mixed Sentiments - card words
Bubble Clumps

I used some different colours of acrylic paint to colour the background paper and also added some texture with a stencil and texture paste and did a little stamping as well.  The Bubble Clumps were simply painted white with acrylic paint and then layered over a piece of gauze underneath my flower cluster.

I love these Dreamcatchers!!   I was a bit afraid at first that the center would be very delicate and difficult to work with but it is a lot stronger than it looks.  I painted it with gesso first and then with some blue acrylic paint.  I also used the same paint to add the accents on the feathers and swiped the edges with a Versa Color Ink Pad.

These Mixed Sentiment Words are so handy for card makers.  They are the perfect size for smaller projects and you get ten different greetings in the one pack.

'The Tag'

2Crafty Chipboard used

Chicken Barb Wire Small
ATC Words
Ava's Butterflies
Foliage Set 2

Once again I added some stamping and texture to the background papers and also added some splatters.   All the chippies were painted with gesso first and then I used a paint dabber in 'Peeled Paint' to colour the ATC Word.

Isn't this Ava's Butterfly unusual?  So delicate and pretty.  I simply coloured it with a stamp pad and then sprinkled it with glitter.  It looks really sparkly and pretty in real life but, unfortunately, the photo doesn't quite pick that up.

The 'Peeled Paint' dabber was used on the Foliage Set 2 as well but I didn't colour it solidly.  I like that slightly mottled look, it's just a little more interesting I think.  You can just see that I added a little sparkle here as well.

I had actually painted the other side of the Chicken Barb Wire but didn't like the colour so I flipped it and found some of the gesso and paint had leeched around to the other side.  Thought I would have to cut another piece at first but then decided to swipe it with a Charcoal stamp pad and liked how it looked so used it anyway.

'The Card'

2Crafty Chipboard used

Element Set 3
Decorative Rod Set 1

How gorgeous is this Decorative Rod Set 1?  When I saw this on the product list I simply had to get it.  I normally wouldn't have chosen a piece of this length because my makes are on a smaller scale than Scrapbooking but I simply could not resist this one and, I thought I could cut it up if necessary.  Well, what a shame that would have been.  I am so pleased I was able to use it all in one piece.  I simply coloured it with a Versa Color Stamp Pad and it fitted beautifully onto my card.

Well, talking about cutting up some of these stunning chippies!!  I needed something to decorate this corner as it was a bit bare but I had no corner pieces left and nothing else that really suited the design.  While checking through my stash of 2Crafty Chipboard I found the Element Set 3 and cut one of the pieces in half and 'voila' .. perfect .. and I still have the other half left for another project.  Love that you can do that with these fabulous chippies.  They are so easy to adapt to your project no matter the size.

A fairly simple card made special by the addition of some stunning chippies!!

So, that is it, my final post done and dusted.  Thank you so much everyone for looking at my work and for the lovely comments you have left for me.  I have felt honoured and so privileged to have had the opportunity to work with these wonderful chippies and to be on a Team with such amazingly talented ladies.  Thank you again to Vanessa and Di for this fantastic opportunity.

Usually I would split my 2Crafty post and share it over a few days, one for each project but, as this is the end of the month and the new Team is about to start I thought I would share this one all at the same time.  Hope you have enjoyed it and found some inspiration here!

Thank you for visiting.  Take care, stay safe and God Bless.

May Shares for 2Crafty Chipboard - #3

Hello everyone and welcome once again to my blog.
Hope you are having a lovely day.  Our weather here in Adelaide has been very kind to us the last few days.  Hopefully it will continue for a little while before we head into our winter weather.

This is the third and final installment of my 2Crafty shares for May.

2Crafty Chipboard is a major sponsor at Off the Rails for the month of May and I was thrilled to be one of the Guest Designers.  The Guest post went live on the 20th and HERE is the link if you'd like to take a look.

This is the mood board..

... and this is the card I created.

The papers are from Kaisercraft's Base Coat Mini Pad.

 2Crafty Chipboard used
 Bubble Clumps

 Numbers Panels

Hessian Patch Panel

 Mini Word Set

The Bubble Clump was painted with a navy Blue acrylic paint and then inserted between the paper layers.

The Hessian Panel was simply swiped with a VersaMagic stamp pad in Midnight Black.  I really adore this chippy.  I love using it as a background for a flower cluster or, in this case, as the base for the Numbers Panel.

The Numbers Panel was first swiped with Versacolor stamp pads in black, red and light blue and then it was coated with Viva Clear Crackle paint.  I'm afraid I got a bit impatient here and decided to dry it with a heat gun.  Got a little too close in a couple of spots and ended up with a few bubbles but, overall, I love the effect.  Very different from how it looks when left to dry naturally.  After it was dry, and cooled off, I swiped it over again with the same stamp pads just to deepen the colour.

I usually decorate the inside of my cards with some strips of paper and, this time, I also added one of the words from the Mini Word Set.

It was coloured with VersaMagic Midnight Black and coated with Glossy Accents.

Well, I hope you like my card and that you have enjoyed all of my May shares.  Hopefully I will see you next month for my very last 2Crafty post.   It will be sad to leave and I will miss everyone on the Team, they have been a fantastic group to work with.  Pop on over to the blog to see all the wonderful projects they have created.  HERE is the link.

Thank you so much for visiting and do enjoy the rest of your day.
Take care and God Bless.

May Shares for 2Crafty Chipboard - #2

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog, hope you are having a lovely day.
I have just come back from a trip across the border to Victoria to help our Niece celebrate her 50th Birthday!!!  Crumbs, every time  I turn around someone else is reminding me that I'm getting older.  Stop it people ... I don't like it one bit!!!  LOL!!

Anyway, today I am sharing part 2 of my 2Crafty May reveals.  This one is a small Journal cover.

The papers used are from Megs Garden's Forgotten Meadows Book Kit.  I sprayed it lightly with Sugar Plum Fairy Glimmermist and also added a little texture through a stencil.

 Stitched Lace Border

Tiny Leaf Stems

 Mini Flourish Pieces

 Leafy Rounds

All the chippies were first coated with gesso and then the Tiny Leaf Stems were painted with a deep green acrylic paint and daubed with 'Peeled Paint' paint dauber.  I also rubbed the edges lightly with a gold stamp pad but, unfortunately, that doesn't show up in the photos.

The Stitched Lace Border  and the Mini Flourish were coloured with 'Burnt Sienna' acrylic paint and then covered with Crackle Accents.  Once they were dry, I rubbed over them with 'Gathered Twigs' Distress Ink to accentuate the cracks.

Here is a sneak peek of the inside of the Journal showing the Leafy Round.  This was also coated in gesso and then daubed with 'Peeled Paint'  and 'burnt Sienna' acrylic paint.  The tiny berries were coloured in bright red paint so they would stand out.  This is one of my favourite chippies, it is so delicate and unusual and looks fabulous on any project,

This small Journal was actually created as a DT project for Megs Garden so I actually killed two birds with one stone, so to speak.  I will be showing the inside pages on the Megs Garden Blog in the near future.

I so love creating with 2Crafty Chipboard and I hope I have inspired you to do so as well.  To take a look at all the awesome creations by my Teammates HERE is the link to the 2Crafty Blog.

Thank you so much for visiting and for any comments you may wish to leave.

Take care and God Bless.

May Shares for 2Crafty Chipboard - #1

Hello everyone and welcome my Blog.  So glad you could drop by and hope you are having a wonderful day.

I am here to share the first of my May projects for 2Crafty Chipboard.
This month I have created two cards and a cover for a small Journal I am working on and, in this post, I am sharing the first of the cards.

FEMININE CARD

The papers used are from Megs Garden's Forgotten Meadows Book Kit.

2Crafty Chipboard used

Card Word Circles - Happy Birthday

 Foliage Set 1

 Decorative Rod Set 2

 Stitched Lace Border

Pretty Flowers

All the chippies were treated in the same manner.  Firstly painted with white acrylic paint and then lightly daubed or swiped with orange.

I had already used a small piece from one of the lengths of the Decorative Rod Set 2 on a previous 2Crafty project (HERE) so I simply cut out the centre section from the leftovers and inserted it between the paper layers.

I also cut a piece from the Stitched Lace Border and inserted that between the layers at the bottom of the card.  I really love these decorative strips.  You can easily colour them to match your project and they are a great alternative to lace or ribbon.  I think they look fabulous.
You can just see one of the Pretty Flowers peeking out from underneath the cluster.

The Card Word Circles are such a great way to add your greeting.  Again, it is so easy to colour them to suit your project and adding a touch of glitter, as I have done here, makes them look really special.

As I said at the beginning, this is the first of my 2Crafty projects for May.  I will be sharing the rest over the next few days.  Hope you can come back to take a look.
In the meantime, why not pop over to the 2Crafty Blog and look at all the fabulous creations made by my Teamies.  You will love them I'm sure.  HERE is the link.

Thank you so much for visiting and do enjoy the rest of your day.

Take care and God Bless
