Hello everyone! Hope you are all having a wonderful day!
Thought it was about time I shared another set of cards. They were actually created for the same person's birthday. The first one was made in 2019 and the second was done last year. Goes to show how far behind I am in sharing things with you.
This card was made at a time when I was starting to simplify my crafting. It still has a fair bit of embellishment but not quite as much as I usually did.
Two layers of paper. The one on the top is just slightly smaller so that the bottom one can be seen. There's embossing and stamping on the background and, over that, I've layered a die cut with the chipboard cogs on top. The cogs were coloured with Distress Inks and a light rubbing of Twinkling H2Os.
This card is a similar design just a whole lot simpler.
Still two layers of paper but the top one was torn down the center so you can see a lot more of the bottom piece. Instead of the embossing and stamping, I simply added a touch of rose gold foil
Margy you may have made these a couple of years ago but at least we can now see how you create in different ways with so much class, texture and beauty. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Marg! I hope you are keeping well! I like the idea of simplifying the designs of scrapping, and your cards look great.. both of them.. keeping them postable too is a good idea with the cost of post going up and up.. I hope your February is going well.. flying by again.. each week goes quickly for me.. perhaps it is because I keep busy!!hehe! Have a lovely weekend!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a couple of awesome cards. Love them xx
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to see a compare and contrast with the two cards side by side. Both are great examples of masculine cards Marg. I do like the touch of gold by using the foiling technique.
ReplyDeleteI love your style and these two are great examples. Happy crafty week, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteYour cards are always amazing Marg! Love this grungy look :)
