Hello sweet visitors and welcome to my blog. I hope everyone is having a lovely day.
Our weather here in Adelaide has been really lovely the last couple of days. I hope it lasts a bit longer .. loving it!!
I'm back today to share another of my early Christmas cards. This one is a little bit different. I haven't made one quite like this before but I really like it so I know I'll be doing it again.
The papers are from Kaisercraft. I have so many of their 6 x 6 pads, I thought it was time to start using it up. So, even though they are not Christmas papers per se, I'm finding them quite suitable for these cards.
A little bit of stenciling ..
.. and a touch of glitter.
The flower is a White Apple Blossom by Green Tara which is available at Megs Garden. I simply sprayed it with Dylusion Ink. I think the colour is called Cherry Pie but, unfortunately, I can't put my hands on it at the moment. Obviously wasn't put back in it's right place last time I used it. Have to have a treasure hunt me thinks, LOL!!
Used the pine branch die again .. really love that for Chrissy cards!
Used a Distress Ink pad to colour the gauze underneath the cluster. So easy to do!
Added a few prills too!! Not easy to see but you can just make them out here I think.
The inside, ready for a personal message.
.. and, 'Voila!' Done!!
Thought I'd throw my hat in the ring with this one and entered it into a couple of challenges
Christmas Card Challenges # 36 - Optional Challenge - Angels
12 Months of Christmas Link Up # 20 - Optional theme - Christmas Confectionery
Thank you so much for dropping by and taking a look at my little creations.
Have a lovely day and enjoy the rest of the week.
Take care and God Bless.
Great Xmas card, Margy. Love all your cards
ReplyDeleteOh so glad the weather has been good for you, the days have been glorious up here, cold nights and mornings though!! Your card is very chrissmassy, I love the flowers and the pine branch die is perfect! The inside looks wonderful too.. I hope you have a great week Marg!
ReplyDeleteLove it! First thing I noticed was the pine branch die! They really do look great:) And I love the idea that you've used 'normal' papers....way to go, stash busting!!! AND that little gold thread? Is that Stampin' Up??? I have some similar & ADORE it.....but they don't sell it anymore. You're another one ahead of me!!! Sigh.....MUST get onto Chrissy cards soon;)
ReplyDeletePeace, Love and Joy - perfect sentiments for Christmas which can sometimes be invaded by consumerism. Personally, I'd be thrilled with just a card like this at Christmas time; it's beautiful. Lovely colours, texture and the pops of gold to bind it all together. Love your work Margy.

ReplyDeleteAnother Christmas beauty Margaret. I finally pulled my pine branch die out of my binder, I forgot how lovely it can be on a holiday card! Those papers work perfectly for Christmas, love the dotted layer! The gold sentiment was a brilliant last minute touch! Love the prills. Question, are they more like art stones or more like microbeads? yay for great weather. sending hugs :)
