Crafty Cardmakers Challenge - #226

Hello everyone!  Thank you for stopping by my blog today, so nice to have you visit.
A very warm welcome to my new followers too.  Lovely to have you share my crafting journey.

It's time for a new Challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and this time Jackie is our lovely host and the Theme is 'Add Some Texture'.
As always, anything you care to create is fine as long as it follows the Theme.

For my DT contribution to this Challenge, I have created an Art Journal page.
I added a few strips of Washi Tape to a sheet of 5" x 7" watercolour paper and then added some coloured texture paste through a stencil.
The background colour was added using Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals in Danny Zuko's Denim and Tiffany Lou's Blue.  My fave colours at the moment!  I simply sprinkled them onto the paper and then sprayed with water.
The stamping came next.  I used Archival ink and a texture stamp by Prima.  I believe it's called 'Crackle'.
The focal cluster includes a piece of coloured gauze, some jute webbing, layered ephemera and a couple of wood hearts by Kaisercraft.  The quote was computer generated.
I lightly inked the edges and, as you can see, I also did a little doodling as well.

So, I hope you have found some inspiration here and will play along.  There's lots more inspiration to be found on the CCM blog from the fabulous creations by my Teamies.  While you're there, you could also link up your entry!!

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #225

Hello dear friends and welcome!  So pleased you came by for a visit!

Here we are with Crafty Cardmakers' first Challenge for 2019.  Lin is our host and the Theme is 'Winter'.
This is really odd for me at the moment as we are suffering through a fairly intense heat wave right now.  Temperature at this moment is 36C and for the next couple of days it will be in the low 40's .. hot, hot, hot!!!!   Thank goodness for airconditioning!!  LOL!!

Anyway, our Challenge, as always, is for whatever you care to create.  It can be a card, a scrap layout, mixed media piece, home decor, whatever you wish to do is fine as long as it fits the Theme.

So, for my DT contribution, I have created a little Amigurumi Snowman!
He stands 5" tall and was made from a free pattern found at Amigurumi Today.
To display him, I created a very simple background.  Using watercolour paper, I stamped the snowflakes with embossing ink and then heat embossed them in white.
I then mixed up a little Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals with water to create the colour and simply brushed it on using more water to move the colour around a bit.  Colours used are Tiffany Lou's Blue and Danny Zuko's Denim
The splatters were created with watered down gesso.
A sheet of tissue paper was used for the foreground and I added a few berries and tiny pine cones for a little more interest.

I hope you like my little snowman and the background I created for him and that you feel inspired to join in with the Challenge.

For a ton more inspiration, and to link up your entry, pop on over to the Crafty Cardmakers blog and check out the fabulous creations by the rest of the Team.

Christmas Cards 2018 - #3

Hello sweet visitors and welcome to my blog!!

Can you believe it is 2019?
I know I can't.  Don't know why but time just seems to fly by so much more quickly nowadays!  I would like to wish you all a very Happy and Healthy 2019!  I do hope, this year doesn't fly past me as quickly  as the last one did!!  LOL!!

I haven't been here for ages it seems and I'm sorry I haven't been around to visit your blogs lately, but  I've been quite busy with family coming to stay over the Christmas holidays.  I decided that, while they were here, I would take a bit of a break from all my social media.  So, now I'm back, and looking forward to catching up with what everyone's been up to.

To start my blogging year off, I thought I would share a few more of my 2018 Christmas cards.  I really don't have anything else to share at this point, so I'm glad I haven't shown these yet.

In my previous posts I explained that my Christmas cards were all made with the same elements.  Same paper collections, same embellies and just a couple of different designs.  I found it was so much easier to get them done by doing it this way and, although it's all the same supplies, they each still have a different look.
I won't bombard you with too many photos, just a few shots of each and I'll try not to bore you too much with the processes either, as I explained a fair bit of that already in my previous Christmas posts.

CARD 1
I layered a piece of gauze under each of the flower clusters and these first two cards have a piece of lace layered in as well.

Card 2
All the branches had their ends embosssed in gold and I also embossed the edges of the sentiments in the same way.

Card 3

I think this might be the only card where I didn't emboss the edges of the sentiment.

 Card 4

Card 5

So, there you have it.  I do have more cards that I haven't yet shown you but, I think I've probably bombarded you enough with my Christmas cards so I will keep those in hand, for now at least.

I'd just like to thank you all for your visits and lovely comments over the previous year and, again, to wish you all the very best for this year.  Lots of happiness, the best of health and all the love your heart can hold.

Take care, stay safe and God Bless.
