A Special Wedding Anniversary

A very special welcome to my new followers .. thank you for joining me on my creative journey.

I have another little card to share with you.  As you can see by the Title, this one was for a very Special Anniversary.    Very close friends of ours celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary recently and this is the card I made for them.

I made this card quite a while ago and, although I remember that the patterned paper used as the base is from the Parisian Gardens Collection by Megs Garden, unfotunately, I cannot remember where the other paper is from.
The flowers are by Prima and both were originally the creamy white colour.  To create the orange one, I simply sprayed it with some watered down acrylic paint. 
The wood veneer numbers were heat embossed with gold and then sprinkled with some gold glitter as well.  Unfortunately, I could not get them to photograph properly .. they are a lovely bright gold in real life.
There's a lovely bit of lace and some gauze underneath the flower cluster and the leaves are a die cut from Cheery Lynn.
I love how this chippie turned out.  It is from 2Crafty Chipboard and all I did was lighten it a little with a VersaMagic Stamp Pad and then I went around the edges with a white gel pen.  I was a bit wary when I started doing it but I love how it turned out and I'm sure I will do this again.
Had to add the obligatory prills and microbeads of course.  Can't make a feminine card without those nowadays .. LOL!!
 
More of the Parisian Gardens paper on the inside and added some strips of washi tape to the edge.  Added a simple tag with a personal message tucked into the pocket on the right hand side.
The finished card!!
Happy to report, it was well received!

    Hi Marg, I hope your monday has been a good start to the week.. hold on to your hat as they seem to fly by!! This card is gorgeous, I love the flow down the card with the ripped paper and leaves and pretty flowers too.. and the inside is lovely as well.. Your cards would always be a pleasure to receive!! Enjoy the week ahead.. Winter isnt finished with us here yet.. a bit chilly tonight!!

    A pretty and elegant card for a special occasion. The soft colours in the background highlight the beautiful blooms and the peek of lace. I love the movement down the card created with the trailing leaves and I'm a big fan of the prills and micro beads too. Lovely work - thanks for the inspiration.

    Truly a beautiful anniversary card for your friends! Your design is so soft and feminine, but your papers are fitting for the man of the house! Poetry in paper!     Wow, 50 years! That is an amazing milestone and you have created a gorgeous card to celebrate the occasion with style! I love the papers you used, and the layering is fantastic! The ripped piece with the trailing leaves and all the beautiful microbeads is so elegant! Love your big blossoms with the fancy centrepieces! The strip of lace and the frame tucked in behind are wonderful additions! This will be a keepsake to be treasured for sure! hugs :)
