Hello sweet visitors .. welcome to my blog. So pleased that you decided to drop by.
I want to share another 'Man' card with you.
Hope you're not getting sick of seeing masculine cards here. This won't be the last one either .. I'm afraid I still have a few more to make for this year.
The papers used are from Maja.
This is the 'brother' card to the one I shared here. They were both made at the same time using a similar design. Just the colours and some of the elements are different.
The paper under the sentiment was fairly plain so I used a Prima background stamp and archival ink to create some extra interest.
The focal image was taken from one of the ephemera pages of the Sherlock Vol 2 papers by Megs Garden ..
.. and I created the sentiment myself by printing it out and then cutting around it and inking the edges before sticking it down. Very simple, very easy.
As I was assembling this card, it seemed to be missing something. Took me a while to figure it out but the twine did the trick!!
The clock is a free image from the net which I printed out, glued to some chipboard and then covered with Glossy Accents .. easy peasy way to make your own flair!!
I really like the look of the corrugated board .. adds a bit of texture and looks fab on a 'man' card I reckon!!

.. and another one done and dusted!
As I said, I still have a few more of these to do and then it's on to .. dare I say it again!! ..

Well I for one, will never tire of masculine cards. Although this has a 'brother', it's unique and individual. I'm a big fan of the corrugated card, the layering, the cogs and the clock. It's always a pleasure to spend time here and be inspired by your creativity.
ReplyDeleteOh wow another fabulous man card!! Love the texture of the corrugated card, it looks like some corrugated iron of the roof! perfect for a blokey card.. great use of the twine too, I know that feeling when you just want to add a little something else and you just cant think of what it could be.... love the layers, and it looks great inside too.. I hope your weekend has been a lovely one Marg, a little rain here which is welcome.. I hope the week ahead is a good one...
ReplyDeleteAmazing, Margaret! I love your masculine cards and that clock and the string are the details that make your work so special. I love the bit of corrugate board (I guess that makes my tastes a little bit masculine :)) and the vintage advertising! Great card for a guy! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a FABULOUS and wonderful card for the Male, so many wonderful details, love how you did the sentiment and all the "off the edge" details. Thank you for joining us at The Male Room off the edge challenge. Faith DT

Another amazing masculine card Marg. I do love all the layers and the colours and the slightly grungy feel to them and then the twine that softens it somewhat. Just so beautiful <3
