The first Man card for 2017!

Hello sweet visitors and welcome to my blog.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day and the weather is being kind to you.  Have heard a lot about the snow overseas but here we are experiencing a heat wave.  Had a couple of days where the temp was in the low 40c and the last few days have been in the high 30c.  Just heard on the news we have another storm coming our way.  There was lots of flooding and damage done throughout the State from the previous storm (which was only a couple of weeks ago).  Just hope and pray everyone gets through this one alright.

On to happier things!!
As you can see by the post title, I'm sharing my first 'man' card for 2017 today.  Thought I would get started early this year as I have quite a few of these to make during the year.

The papers are from Maja.

Made a few of my own flair using book paper, 2 clocks, 1 epoxy sticker and glossy accents.

Made a couple of tags and crumpled up a little ticket.  The clock flair is very easy to make.  Simply print the image (there are plenty to be found on-line), cut it out, mount it on some chipboard and cover it with an epoxy sticker.

The two flair below were made in a similar way.  Printed the clock image (got the bit of book paper from .. surprise, surprise!!  .. an old book, LOL!!), cut them out, mounted them on scraps of chipboard but, because the epoxy stickers I had left were the wrong size, I covered them both with glossy accents .. easy peasy!!

Voila!!  The first of my man cards for this year, done and dusted!!

Thank you so much for dropping by and taking a peek.
Your visits are very much appreciated!

Take care, stay safe and God Bless.

  1. What an amazing card Margaret! I always love how you use so many layers all perfectly placed to create wonderful interest and dimension! A fabulous masculine card!!

It's always so bizarre to hear about the weather when it's the opposite of the season we are in right now. I do hope that the upcoming storm is mild and does no damage. Stay dry and safe my friend. sending hugs :)

  2. Ah Margy - another inspirational bloke's card. Like you, I have heaps of masculine cards to make in the year. Love the blue and the clock faces. Great idea to make your own flairs; I'm definitely going to give that a try. Lovely work TFS

  3. Hi Marg... waving from my melting pot up here.. it has been so hot up here too.. we had a little storm at 2 oclock this morning and that seemed to cool things off a bit, but so hot and humid again today.. i think it might all end in a big storm too... the rain is nice but not the lumps and winds tooo... Your male card is fabulous, love the rigged edges and rags and clocks perfect embellishing for your blokey card.. the middle looks great too.. well another weekend ahead.. I hope you have a great one!!

  4. Fabulous! Such totally brilliant use of those papers, - a gorgeous card!!

  5. Lovely blues.... great idea for 'faux' flair with the glossy accents.... damn stuff won't even come outta the bottle for me, it hates me so much!!!!!! Fab start to your errrrr 'man haul'??!!!! And I'm holding my breath for you. Think you've got stinking weather again now.... you don't really need to send it on up here though, truly.....!!!!!!!
