Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for dropping in.
Well, after not posting for weeks, here I am posting twice in a couple of days!! Thing is, I have been creating some stuff but wasn't able to post anything as it was DT work. Just haven't had time for much else though.
Anyway, I'd like to share another Art Journal page with you. This one was created for Challenge #156 over at CSI. 2 Crafty Chipboard are a major Sponsor over at CSI during February so the 2Crafty Design Team have been Guest Designing for them.
Now, as most of you know, CSI is a Scrapbook Challenge and I don't Scrapbook. Soooo, how come I'm Guest Designing??? Because the lovely Debbi Tehrani who is the owner of CSI allowed me to do an Art Journal page instead. Thank you so much Debbi. I am so pleased that I could be a part of this GDT.
This is the Case File.
I have used all the colours.
Having never done a CSI Challenge before, it looked a little daunting to me at first but, when you read it through, it really is quite easy to follow.
Testimony
You only need to use one item from this list.
One of the prompts is to use the inspiration word 'grow' so that is what I incorporated into my quote.
Evidence
You need to use at least two items from this list.
I have used text print, flowers, stamps, mixed media background, cursive font.
Started off this page by glueing down some strips of paper and then sprayed over it with watered down acrylic paints. I also sprayed some Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst 'Cape Cod Coral' for a little bit of shimmer.
All of the chipboard on this double AJ page is, of course, from 2Crafty. I coated all the pieces with gesso first and then used acrylic paints for the colour. In the picture above, you can see the ATC Georgian Frame placed over the Square Collage Panel. The 'flower' petals underneath the cluster were also sprayed with acrylic paint for colour as was the small piece of burlap..
I used one of the plain circles from the 6" Clock Frames and added the Leafy Shrub Set 1 flourish over the top.
My favourite piece on this page is the Square Collage Panel. It comes as a 6" x 6" panel but you can cut random pieces from it and use it in a myriad of ways. I simply cut off a section from one side of the panel to use on the left hand side of my double page and then cut another smaller piece for the right hand side. The small seed beads were added for the touch of grey I needed and the small labels are from G45.
Here you can see the 'stamping' in a 'cursive font'
and I also did some stenciling in a 'cursive font' as well.

It was a lot of fun!!
