A Wildflower Anniversary

Hello everyone.  A very warm welcome to you.

Back again with another quick post to share some more of the cards that have been sitting patiently waiting to be shown.  I had planned to do at least one of these each week but, once again, am lagging a bit behind.  Will just have to keep trying!

As the title pointed out, I'm sharing an Anniversary card this time.  Still have a lot of those manly cards waiting but, for a bit of relief from those, I'm sharing this card instead.

A few close-ups first.

Papers by Kaisercraft .. again.  Their 6.5 x 6.5 pads are the perfect size for card making.  I love them ..  and they are really pretty as well.

This was made for my oldest son and his dear wife.  They celebrated their 27th Anniversary a little while ago.   Cut the first wildflower from the dp itself and then cut another from a contrasting piece of cardstock.  Layered the contrasting flower into the gap in the papers and then placed the original on top.
I added the white branches for another bit of contrast.  The greeting was computer generated and layered onto pale blue cardstock.
The flower centers were gold foiled.  Didn't turn out quite as nice as I would have liked but, I guess it could have been worse.  I also added some gold foiling on the card itself although it doesn't show up too well on the photo.
Again, a very simple card but, I'm happy to say, they loved it.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  It's really nice to know you've come to take a peek and thank you too for the sweet comments ..  I so enjoy reading your lovely words.

Take care, stay safe and God Bless.

Manly Birthdays

Hi everyone.  Thank you for stopping by.

Another quick post to share more of my 'manly' cards with you.  I still have quite a few that I haven't shown so, here are a couple more.

The papers are by Kaisercraft.

First I added some strips of washi tape and then laid down some texture paste using a spatula and a stencil.
Gathered some pieces of ephemera and cut some dies to make a little collage as a focal point.  I found the quote circles in an older paper pad by Kaisercraft, and was lucky enough to also find the little wood camera that fitted in so well with the words.

Card no. 2 was made exactly the same as No. 1.
Different dies and different ephemera but same overall design.
Added a touch of colour to this collage .. just because.
The greetings are chippies made by Scrapmatts.
Here's both cards, side by side.  As you can see, not much difference between them.
I do like the way they turned out though.   I gave these to a friend of mine.  She makes cakes for me and I make cards for her.  Somehow, I think I have the better end of the deal.  LOL!!

Thank you so much for coming to take a peek and thanks to those who leave me a little comment.  I really enjoy reading your lovely words and to know that you stopped by.

Take care, stay safe and God Bless.

A Shabby Chic Birthday

 Hi everyone, and welcome!

Hope you are all keeping safe and well and happy.

I wanted to share another of my cards with you.  Created this one a while ago for my DIL's 50th birthday.   Because of the restrictions, she couldn't have the party she wanted but we were able to go out and have a lovely meal to celebrate.

I'll show a few close-ups first.

The papers are by Kaisercraft and, in the cluster, you'll find flowers (of course) some different die cuts, a piece of gauze, a bit of lace and a lovely little heart flair.
I had thought about colouring this bit of trailing foliage but am so glad I left it plain white.
Used thickers for the number.
A different angle on the cluster so you can see the lace.  I made a double bow of seam binding and narrow ribbon and tucked that in at the side.
Quite pleased with the result and, more importantly, she loved it!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and for your lovely comments.  Very much appreciated.
Take care, stay safe and God Bless.

A Manly Card

 Hello my friends and Welcome!

So pleased you made the time to stop by.

Gosh, it seems like an age since I last posted so, this is just a quickie post to share another of my manly cards with you.   This one was made a few months ago for my brother's birthday.

Still using the same basic design as the cards I have been sharing recently.  Just different papers and different bits and pieces in the collage.  Works for me as I still like the results so I see no reason as yet to change.

Strips of washi tape down the length of the card and I added the waste cardstock left from punching out a few circles.

In the collage you'll find book paper, a bubble diecut, piece of chipboard, as well as die cut and wooden cogs.

The birthday greeting is a chippie by Scrapmats.

Just a little heads up.  Normally, I would have shared a Crafty Cardmaker project with you last Monday but, as the Theme is Halloween. which is really not my thing,  I hadn't created anything for it.   Sadly, it is the last Challenge for CCM.  Due to ill health, the owner Lin, has decided to close it down.  There was an oportunity for someone else to take over but it was not to be.  So, the Halloween Challenge will be the last.  I have so enjoyed being part of this fabulous Team and I will miss it immensely.  My best wishes to Lin and all of the ladies on the DT.

Thank you so much for stopping by and do enjoy the rest of your day.

Take care, stay safe and God Bless.
