With Love - In Pink

Hello sweet visitors .. welcome to my blog.  So pleased you've taken the time to pop over.

Sharing another little card with you today.
This is the sister card to the one shared in my post 'With Love - in Blue'.  What I mean when I say  'sister' card is, that this card was made at the same time and using the same design as the one found in that post.  I simply changed the colours and the orientation.  If you would like to see the other one you can find it HERE.

This was made with Maja papers and some Megs Garden goodies,

A doily was cut in half and used as the base for the flower cluster.
The doily, as well as the flowers are available at Megs Garden.   All the flowers were basically a creamy white.  I simply coloured them with a spray of watered down acrylic paints.

The faux flair with the sentiment was handmade.

Of course, I added some prills.

The paper on the inside was edge punched with a Martha Stewart Deep Edge Punch and I added some darker paper underneath to highlight it.

At the moment I'm sticking with the plan to make two cards at the same time although I may not always use the same design.  I've found if I just use similar elements, I can still manage to get two made simultaneously (phew!  that's a long word.  Hope I spelt it right.  LOL!!)

Thank you so much for dropping by and for leaving me some love.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
Take care and God Bless.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge # 187 - Pearls and/or Gems

Hello everyone and welcome to my crafty space.  So happy to see you here.

The new Challenge has gone live at Crafty Cardmakers!!  This time around Josephine is our host and it is all about adding some Pearls and/or Gems to your creations.
As always, anything you wish to create is fine as long as you add some pearls or gems to your piece.

This is the card I made for my DT contribution.

The papers, the rose buds and the tiny flowers are from Megs Garden.
I have had the fabric flowers in my stash for a while now and have no idea where they came from but, as they had the gem button centers, I felt they were perfect for this Challenge.
The creamy white is the original colour .. I simply sprayed the other with some watered down acrylic paint.

The chipboard piece is from 2Crafty Chipboard.  Added a couple of sticky back pearls and coloured it with a white VersaMagic stamp pad just to lighten it a little.

A piece of lace and some gauze under the cluster for a bit of soft texture ..

and green Glass Glitter for additional sparkle.  Unfortunately, I overdid the highlighting .. looks a bit messy.  Oh well, I'll just say it adds character!!??!!  LOL!!

Why not pop on over to the Crafty Cardmakers blog and see what the rest of the DT have created ..  I know you will love it!!

I do hope you feel inspired to join in with the Challenge .. we would love to see what you create!!

With Love - In Blue

Hello sweet visitors and welcome to my blog.
Hope you all had a wonderful and Blessed Easter!

For GOD so loved the World, that HE gave HIS only begotten SON,
that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish
but have everlasting life  .. John 3:16

I did actually manage to do a little crafting this weekend and I thought I would share one of the cards I made.

The papers used are from Maja and the flowers are available from Megs Garden.

I cut a doily in half and used it as the base for the flower cluster.

A piece of medical gauze added for some soft texture ..

.. and some die cuts of Chloe stems to use instead of leaves.

The flower ribbon (also from Megs Garden) was cut in half lengthways (It has the little flowers on both sides) and was glued to the edge.

Made a faux flair sentiment and, of course,  ..

.. I had to add a few prills.  Can't make a card without them these days .. LOL!!

Edge punched the paper on the inside and popped some contrasting colour underneath to highlight it.

I am really pleased with myself.  I actually made two cards in little more than the time I usually take to make only one.  Reason being, I made the second one using the same design as the first .. I simply changed the colours.  So, two cards done and dusted and only half the stress!!  Brilliant!!
I follow a lovely lady named Lisa who does it all the time and, although I have occasionally done it before, I thought I would do it on a regular basis too.  It will make keeping up with birthdays and anniversaries so much easier!  Lisa posts hers at the same time as well,  but I will share mine separately.    Her site is called A Mermaids Crafts.  Go on over and take a look .. you will love it .. her makes are stunning!!

Thought I would enter this into the following Challenges
Card Mania - # 91 April Showers bring May Flowers
Seize the Birthday - Two Patterned papers/Anything Goes

Thank you so much for dropping by to take a look at my little creations and leaving me a little love .. I very much appreciate you taking the time.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
Take care and God Bless.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge - #186 Things with Wings

Hello my sweet friends and welcome to my blog.
A very special welcome to my new followers.  Thank you so much for joining me .. I hope you enjoy the journey through my crafty world.

The new Challenge is up at Crafty Cardmakers.  It is hosted by Mary and it is all about Things with Wings.   Anything with wings will count.  Birds, fairies, butterflies and other insects, aeroplanes and even hearts as long as they have wings.
As always, anything you create is fine.  A card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it fits the theme.
We would love for you to join in!  Please read the rules and remember our 15 Challenge limit.

For this challenge I chose to create an Art Journal page.

Can't remember when I last did one of these but I must say, I did enjoy the process.

I do realise this is not terribly original.
There are so many AJ pages on pinterest with a similar design but, as I hadn't worked on one of these for so long, it was an easy subject and it fitted the theme of the Challenge.
I used watercolour paper  and randomly covered it with texture paste instead of gesso just to get some texture happening.

I played around with some Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals to colour the background.  It was the first time I have actually used these and I must say I love them!!  Didn't quite get the effect I was looking for but I think that is just going to take more  practice.

The chippy is from 2Crafty Chipboard and I simply coated it with more of the texture paste.

Lots of stamping underneath.

The clock and the butterflies were free printables from the web.  I simply fussy cut them and mounted the clock on a piece of scrap chipboard for dimension and strength.

I added some prills ..

.. lots of prills ..

.. 'cos I just love the look of them!!

Really happy with the way this turned out.  Think I might hang it on my Craft Room wall.

Once again, I hope I have inspired you to take part in the Challenge.  We would love to see the Things with Wings that you create!!
