Hello everyone and a very warm welcome to my blog. So pleased you dropped by for a visit and hope your day is going well.
I have another of my masculine cards to share with you today. This one was made for a very close friend who is celebrating his 70th Birthday.
Most of the papers I've used are from the 'Cafe au Lait' Collection designed by Kerry-Jean Watson with the base paper being from the '1920' Collection. These papers are available as a digital download from Kerry-Jean's Etsy shop HERE. She has a selection of different papers and also some handmade items for sale as well. The digital papers are so easy to download and what I like about them (apart from the fact that they are gorgeous) is that you print out only the pages you want so there is no wastage.
The chippie clock is from 2Crafty and it was lightly swiped with a charcoal stamp pad and then with a little gesso and also with Rangers 'Rust' Patina. The metal cogs were also lightly dabbed with the 'Rust' Patina.
I love these Tim Holtz Ideaology Word Bands, they have some great quotes on them, and they look good too. Did a little stamping here and added some Clear Rock Candy Crackle and a little swipe of gesso. Found the cute square paper clip at Ikea, of all places, and couldn't resist them.
Another little metal cog with some 'Rust' added and some plaster tape peeking out from underneath the layers. This tape is just one of the many mundane, ordinary household and hardware items out there that come in very handy for crafting .. and they're cheap!! Love it!!
The Tim Holtz ideaology buckle 'Rusted' up and some tickets from the ephemera page of the Sherlock Book Kit which is another collection designed by Kerry-Jean Watson.
The inside, also decorated with 'Cafe au Lait' papers and some added cut aparts and labels from Kaisercraft. The pocket holds a tag with the sentiment and also a gift voucher.
The 'Birthday' quote was found on the net and simply printed onto some plain paper as was the greeting.
And there it is, another of my 'Man' cards done!
I hope you've enjoyed this post and that I've given you some inspiration.
A little heads up .. Kerry-Jean Watson is giving away the complete 'Cafe au Lait' digital paper collection. All you have to do is like her Facebook page, leave a comment on the Give away post and Share it. So simple!! HERE is the link, but you'll have to hurry, the give away closes on the 31st July.
Thank you so much everyone for visiting and for any comments you may care to leave, I really appreciate it. Have a wonderful day!!
Take care and God Bless.
