Hi everybody .. welcome to my blog. So lovely to have you here for a visit.
Goodness, isn't this year flying past in a hurry?? Can't believe it's May already. Might have to seriously start thinking about Christmas cards. Nahhh!!! Got plenty of time yet .. haven't I???

As you can see, I'm back with another man card. I've been asked why I make so many but, as I have more male rellies and friends than female, I really have no choice. Besides, I quite enjoy making them .. just as well I suppose.
This card was made with a mix of Prima and Kaisercraft papers.
I have used the tied down tag element again on this one. I really like this idea (pretty sure you would have guessed that by now .. LOL!!) and there are quite a number of different ways to use it.
The base for this card is a standard 3.5" x 6" but when you add the rectangular shape on the front it becomes 4" x 6".
I wanted a bit of extra grunge/texture so I added the burlap ribbon and stapled on the bits of twine. They were a last minute addition so I had to lift the paper off to get the stapler in underneath. Luckily it worked out alright.
The larger metal piece has been in my stash for years so, no idea where I got it from. The smaller trinket was purchased at a Craft Show here in Adelaide.
I added a little glass glitter which didn't work out too well. I really didn't like the way it looked (should have stuck with my prills!) so I dulled it down with some acrylic paint. Not sure that I like it any better but now I'm stuck with it.

Stamped the inside with a 49 and Market stitch stamp and added a little sentiment at the bottom. I so love that stamp and have been itching to use it somewhere .. looks good I reckon! Almost as good as the real thing!! (Actually, way better. I didn't have to drag out the sewing machine! LOL!)
I rarely put greetings on the fronts of my cards .. not sure why really .. although sometimes I just can't find the right place to put them. I do always add a personal message on a journal tag on the inside so, I guess, I don't really need anything on the front.
