Hello everyone and a very warm welcome to my blog. Hope you are having a lovely day. We have gorgeous sunshine in Adelaide today. It is finally looking like Spring!! Don't know how long it will last but, for now, it is just glorious!! Taking my puppies for a long walk this afternoon. We are really looking forward to it.
I have another 'guy' card to share with you. This one was made for my youngest son's birthday. When I say 'youngest son', he just turned 42 years old, and that scares the heck out of me. Where did all those years go?? Darned if I know.
The papers are a bit of a mix. Some from Prima, some from Kaisercraft and the tags are from K.J. Watson Designs.
The papers were all torn to size using a ruler and then I distressed the edges with 'Gathered Twigs' Distress Ink. Added some Clear Rock Candy Crackle for texture and some gesso over that for highlights. Found the broken clock in my stash (have no idea where I got it from) and rusted it up a bit with some Patina acrylic paint.
Also found this hessian ribbon in my stash (again, have no idea where it came from) and tied on the cute little key (you guessed it, don't know where I got it) with a bit of twine.
I'm in the process of tidying up my stash a bit as I'm getting a new craft space. Actually I am getting a Craft Room!!! Can't wait. Consequently I am finding all these lovely things that I had forgotten I had. It's like Christmas!!
The tags were mounted on some black cardstock and used my Crop-a-Dile to add the eyelets and then tied some twine to them as well. They were simply glued down between the layers so they don't actually pull out.
The inside of the card. I added a verse and hand written message on the left hand side and the paper on the right is actually a pocket so I could tuck a gift voucher in there.
