'Correspondence' Mini Booklet

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.
I'm back to share with you my current reveal for Meg's Garden.
This time I have made a Mini Booklet with the wonderful new 'Correspondence' Mini Paper  Pack and I've also used a few items from the 'Green Bundle' that Meg sells in the store.  This little booklet was made as a small  gift for my Granddaughter, she loves flowers and butterflies.  Usually she would want everything in pink but she tells me she's growing up (she's 11) and is getting too old for pink!!  LOL
Here is the cover.  As stated before, the papers are from the Mini Paper Pack.  I've created a few layers here although they are not too easy to see.  The ribbon used to close the booklet is from the Bundle pack.  There are quite a lot of ribbons in the pack and it was difficult to chose as they are all so pretty but I think the green stripe suits this little booklet perfectly.
The heart diamante strip is also from the Bundle as is the gorgeous green heart gem.  As well as lots of ribbon, there are also lots of beautiful gems in this Bundle.  I loved going through it when it first arrived.  It was like getting a little Birthday present,  didn't know what was going to come out next.  If you'd like to see for yourself exactly what is in this Bundle of goodies HERE is the link.
Did some stencilling on the front with Crushed Olive  Distress Ink, although that ended up being mostly covered but here you can see some of the layers a bit more clearly.  Love the different scripts on these papers ... gorgeous!!
The first double page which I also stenciled lightly with Crushed Olive Distress Ink.  The small green paper flower is also out of the Bundle packet.  See what I mean about the script??  Love it!!
The second double page, again with more script.  I guess that's why this collection is called "Correspondence'.  LOL!  Some more stenciling, this time with Fired Brick Distress Ink.  These papers take the ink very well.
These pages have a little bit of stamping and, of course, butterflies.  Looooove butterflies!!
More stamping and some more ribbon  from the Bundle Pack ...
... and more Butterflies!!!
These pages are coloured  with Distress Ink and stamped as well ...
 ... and more stenciling here.
The back cover was stenciled as well, and I'd like to thank my Dragon babies for holding the pages open for me.  Great job guys!!
I do hope you liked my little booklet, I certainly had a great time creating it.  These papers are so lovely to work with and they take the stamping and inking very well. The items from the Temptations Bundle came in so handy and were perfect for this project, and I still have heaps of it left!!  Woo!! Hoo!!

A 'Correspondence' Anniversary Card

Hi everyone!!!  Thank you so much for visiting.   I'd especially like to welcome my latest followers, so pleased you're coming along for the ride ladies, I hope you will enjoy it.  I'd also like to thank those of you who take the time regularly to leave me such lovely comments.  You have no idea how much I enjoy reading them and how much I appreciate your support, so,  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

It is my turn again at Meg's Garden so here is my latest DT project.
I have a card to share made with the new 'Correspondence' papers designed by  Kerry-Jean Watson.  I was very privileged to be one of the first to have the opportunity to use these papers.  They are so pretty and a real dream to work with.
The papers I've used on this card are all from the mini paper pack and the only alterations I've made is to distress the edges and add a little doodling.
Did some stitching around the edge and added some stamens and small twigs between the layers.  I've also added a few pearls here and there.  The metal heart was recycled from an old necklace that was no longer being used by it's owner and I was lucky enough to be given some of the pieces.
The flowers are mainly from Kaisercraft except for the berries which  are from my stash.  The gem spray is from Magnolia Ink.
The wreath is the Memory Box Bramble Circle Die and the small sprigs were punched with Martha Stewart's Autumn Branch Punch.  In the lower left corner you can see I've added a few Micro Beads.  The greeting was printed on my computer and simply matted on some cardstock.

The inside was decorated with some strips of the paper which was border punched with M.S. Doily Lace Punch ...
... and here is the full frontal!!!
As I said at the beginning of this post, I was very privileged to be one of the first to use these papers and I thoroughly enjoyed creating with them.  I know for sure that I will be making many more projects with these lovely papers.

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today and do take a minute to check  out all the gorgeous products Meg's Garden has to offer.  Believe me, you won't be sorry.  HERE is the link.
Take care and God Bless.

Meg's Garden - Birthday Card with 'Bike Cogs'

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.

Today I'd like to share my DT reveal for Meg's Garden.  It is a Birthday Card made with the Bike Cogs Mini Paper Pack.
These papers are awesome and absolutely perfect to create a card for my Grandson's Birthday as his favourite colours are green and black.
So, all the papers used are from this collection, I haven't mixed it with anything else at all.  I have added a bit of doodling and some of that mesh tape that is all the rage at the moment.  I've also lightly brushed some gesso here and there and did a bit of stamping as well.  The cogs border is from Scrapbookncraft and I've added some die cut cogs and gears as well.  Some were cut from black cardstock and some from brown.  Brushed them with Versacolor in Silver and green to give them a bit of a rustic look.
The card style is one I saw at Astrid Maclean's Blog and I've used it quite a bit since, I really love it as it gives you so much  scope for decorating.
Here you can see some of the crackle stamping.  Added some washi tape and wooden hinges  which were coloured with Versacolor 'Lapislazuli' and Kaisercraft 'Red gum'.
The clocks are from Meg's Garden.   I've simply layered them together with an eyelet.  You can also see I've placed some cogs in between the paper layers.
Just a closie of the cogs border ... the black and the white cogs peeking through underneath are all part of the pattern on the papers.
The inside is lined with the same papers and I've added some doodling here as well and brushed on some more gesso.  The quotes are die cuts from KC.
Did just a small amount of stencilling on the front of the pocket which was made to hold a small envelope and card.
The envelope will hold a gift voucher or perhaps some cash and the double fold card has a written sentiment inside.

The other inside flap also has some doodling and brushed gesso.
Full view of the inside ...
... and another full frontal view.
These papers are awesome and, although this card is obviously masculine, there are also designs  which could be used in a more feminine creation.  I loved working with them.
Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you enjoyed my Bike Cogs Birthday Card.

Cards for Meg's Garden # 1

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.
A very warm welcome to my new followers too, so pleased to have you here ladies!!
My DT post was up on the Meg's Garden Blog a few days ago but then I forgot to post it here ... duhhh!!!   Thought I'd better catch up on that before I do  anything else and forget again!!  lol
I actually made two cards this time and I'll show the first one here.  The papers are from the Dreaming in the Meadows Mini Pack.  I'll actually give you a list of the products used at the end of this post.
I used white cardstock for the base and layered the papers with some netting in between to give it a softer look.  I then machine stitched around the edges.
This corner was curled over and held down by a piece of bling cut from the Daisy Silver Trim to which I've added some tiny beads for extra colour.  I love that pretty lace and just had to add a little piece peeking out from the edge as well as the strip across the middle of the card.
The stunning flower is the ivory Heirloom 6.5cm which is, of course, also available from Meg's Garden as is the gorgeous lace.  The two die cuts underneath are Marianne Creatables Frame & Swirls Die and Couture Creations Starburst Doily Die.  The Starburst die cut was trimmed a little to fit in with the design.  The leaves were cut on my Silhouette and edged with white puff paint.
The wooden flourish is from Kaisercraft and was coloured with Versa Color 'Olive' and I added another piece of the Daisy Silver Trim with the beads in the centre.
The inside was lined with two more sheets  from the same collection.  These papers are so pretty you don't really need to add anything to them.  I love it!!!

As I said at the beginning of my post, I actually made two cards for my project.  This being the first  and I will show you the second one at a later date.
In the meantime, why not visit Meg's Garden and check out the amazing projects from my other Teamies.  You can find it HERE.
