Just Playing - Making Cards #2

Hello dear friends.
So happy you decided to drop by.

Back to share another of the cards I made while hiding at home from the heat we have been experiencing lately.  Have to say, the last couple of weeks the weather has been much more bearable.  Still warm but we haven't needed the aircon.  I believe that is about to change though.  Apparently we're in for another week of temps in the 30's (centigrade)  Not sure exactly how hot but, I guess, we're about to find out.

Ok.  So, here is the second of the feminine cards I created in this 'Just Playing' series.
The papers are from the same Collection as the card I shared in the first of these posts 'Making Cards #1' here.  It's the Floral Romance 12 x 12 paper pad from Kaisercraft.
Added a Chloe Stem (a Memory Box die) as well as a few leaves (a Cheery Lynne die)
and tucked more of my fave lace under the cluster.
More diecuts trailing down to the bottom (these are from Altenew).
The flower is by Little Birdie.  I edged it with Ground Espresso Distress Ink and sprinkled it randomly with some glitter.  Can't really see that too well but it does have a lovely shimmer in real life.
And that was another card done and dusted!!
Gathering all the bits and pieces before hand and then only limiting myself to those bits and pieces certainly worked a treat!!

Thank you for stopping by and for the lovely comments you leave me to read.   Love getting your feedback.

Have a wonderful day dear friends and have fun with your crafting!
Take care and God Bless.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #228

Hello dear friends and welcome to my blog.  So pleased you stopped by today.
A very warm welcome to my new followers too.  So happy you decided to join me on my creative journey.

It's time again for a new Challenge at Crafty Cardmakers.  Kim is our lovely Host and the Theme for this Challenge is one of my faves!  It is all about 'Flowers'.

As always, anything you wish to create is fine.  It doesn't have to be a card, but it must follow the theme.
The papers I've used for this card are from Kaisercraft's Pen and Ink 6.5" x 6.5" pad.
Created a little banner to run down the side and also tore the edges of some of the paper layers.

Tucked in a few bits of lace and added some prills and micro beads.

A bit of gauze and some die cut leaves were arranged behind the Little Birdie flowers and I added a twine bow ..
.. as well as a little dry brushing with gesso.
I hope this has given you a bit of inspiration to join in with the Challenge.  To find lots more inspo and ideas, pop on over to the Crafty blog and take a look at the wonderful creations by my Teamies.

Looking forward to seeing what you create.

Thank you so much for your visit and enjoy the rest of your day.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge # 227

Hello craft lovers and welcome to my blog.  Always so nice to have you here for a visit.
A very special welcome to my new followers.  Thank you so much for joining me on my creative journey.

It is time for a new Challenge at Crafty CardmakersMaike is our lovely host and, because it's that time of the year, the Theme is Love, Love, Love!
As always, anything you create is fine as long as it follows the Theme.

I didn't need to make a card for my Hubby as we don't celebrate Valentine's day so, for this Challenge, I have created a feminine card.
The papers used are from Kaisercraft's Floral Romance Collection.

This is another fairly simple card.
I cut my papers to size and then distressed and tore some of the edges.
Cut two small tags and distressed those edges as well and then added the faux stitching with a white gel pen.
Cut some lace to fit in with the design, found a pretty flower from my stash and put it all together.  The sweet little heart is a wooden embellie also by Kaisercraft.
Once it was done I added a little bling with a few small gems.

I hope I have given you some inspiration to join in with the Challenge.  For lots more inspo,  pop  over to the Crafty Cardmakers blog and take a peek at the awesome creations by my Teamies.  While you're there, why not link up your entry!!

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #227 - Love, love, love.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have fun crafting a piece for the Challenge!  Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Have a fabulous day!
Take care and God Bless.

Christmas Cards 2018 - #3

Hello sweet visitors and welcome to my blog!!

Can you believe it is 2019?
I know I can't.  Don't know why but time just seems to fly by so much more quickly nowadays!  I would like to wish you all a very Happy and Healthy 2019!  I do hope, this year doesn't fly past me as quickly  as the last one did!!  LOL!!

I haven't been here for ages it seems and I'm sorry I haven't been around to visit your blogs lately, but  I've been quite busy with family coming to stay over the Christmas holidays.  I decided that, while they were here, I would take a bit of a break from all my social media.  So, now I'm back, and looking forward to catching up with what everyone's been up to.

To start my blogging year off, I thought I would share a few more of my 2018 Christmas cards.  I really don't have anything else to share at this point, so I'm glad I haven't shown these yet.

In my previous posts I explained that my Christmas cards were all made with the same elements.  Same paper collections, same embellies and just a couple of different designs.  I found it was so much easier to get them done by doing it this way and, although it's all the same supplies, they each still have a different look.
I won't bombard you with too many photos, just a few shots of each and I'll try not to bore you too much with the processes either, as I explained a fair bit of that already in my previous Christmas posts.

CARD 1
I layered a piece of gauze under each of the flower clusters and these first two cards have a piece of lace layered in as well.

Card 2
All the branches had their ends embosssed in gold and I also embossed the edges of the sentiments in the same way.

Card 3

I think this might be the only card where I didn't emboss the edges of the sentiment.

 Card 4

Card 5

So, there you have it.  I do have more cards that I haven't yet shown you but, I think I've probably bombarded you enough with my Christmas cards so I will keep those in hand, for now at least.

I'd just like to thank you all for your visits and lovely comments over the previous year and, again, to wish you all the very best for this year.  Lots of happiness, the best of health and all the love your heart can hold.

Take care, stay safe and God Bless.

Christmas Cards 2018 - #2

Hello dear friends, and welcome to my blog.

So nice of you to stop by at this busy time of year.  Hope you are having a fabulous day.

I am back to share a few more of my Christmas cards with you today.

Card 1
As I mentioned in my previous Christmas posts, the papers are all from older Kaisercraft paper pads.
The flowers are ones I found in my stash and, regardless of their original colour, I simply sprayed them all with Dylusions Cherry Pie Spray Ink.  I have not purchased anything new to make these cards as I have so much left over from previous years that needs to be used up.

Card 2
On some cards the top paper layer is torn and on others they have been cut to size.
Most of them have a little gold heat embossing in random places ..
.. and all the branches have also been gold embossed on the ends.

Card 3

The clusters are all pretty much the same with gauze underneath the flowers and foliage.

Card 4

There are tiny pine cones and a small bunch of berries in each cluster ..
.. and all the sentiments are also edged in gold.

This is probably my last post for this year so I would like to thank each and every one of my visitors for stopping by to take a peek at my little creations this past year.  A very special thanks to those of you who left me a sweet comment.  I so appreciate you taking the time and leaving me such lovely words to read.  Thank you one and all.

Wishing you a wonderful, Blessed Christmas spent with family and loved ones and all the very best for 2019.

Stay safe and see you in the New Year!!
God Bless.
