A Tartan Kind of Christmas

Hello my lovely visitors and welcome to my creative space.
A very warm welcome too to my new followers!  Thank you so much joining me on this creative journey!  Hoping you will enjoy the ride!

A quick post to share another of my Christmas cards.
No Masterboard this time .. just some papers and a bit of  die cutting.

The tartan paper is from a 6" x 6" Christmas paper pad I bought a little while ago by Craft Smith.  I used a Tim Holtz Thinlits die on the paper for the front of the card and, for something a little different, I outlined it with a white gel pen.

Another of my handmade flairs using a computer generated greeting and an epoxy sticker.
Used some of the scrappy bits left over from the die cut on the front of my card to decorate the inside.
 Et Voila!!
As I said, just a quick post this time.
Have heaps more Christmas cards to make and will be posting another soon so, I hope you will come back to take another look.

I have entered this into Challenge #25 at Christmas Card Challenges
UPDATE .. My card made the top 3 .. Yayy!!!

Thank you for your visit and do enjoy the rest of your day.
Take care and God Bless.

Masterboard Christmas Finale

Hello awesome visitors and welcome.
So happy you dropped by and hope your day is going well.

Can you believe it is November already??  The time seems to fly by faster and faster each year.  Wish someone could work out how to slow it down just a little!!  LOL!!

So, I'm here to share a card made with the last little piece of my Masterboard.
This one is really, really simple.  I didn't add much at all in the way of embellies.   I figured there's enough going on in the  background so it didn't really need much more.

The base card measures 6.5" x 3.5"

The only additions are the pine branches, the flower and the twine bow.
The greeting is a simple gold sticker.
A little decorating on the inside ..
 .. et Voila!!
Most of the work was done on the Masterboard.  The rest was easy peasy!!
Another Christmas card done and dusted!!!

These Masterboards are such fun!!  I'm sure I will be making more of them.   Perhaps not for my Christmas cards but certainly for other things.  We shall see.

Thank you so much for dropping by and do enjoy the rest of your day!

Take care and God Bless.

A Masterboard Christmas

Hello sweet visitors and welcome to my blog.  Hope you are having a wonderful day!

A big welcome to my new followers too!!  Thank you so much for joining me.  I hope I can pass on a little inspiration now and then.

Today, I am sharing two more Christmas cards made with my Christmas Masterboard.  I really enjoy these Masterboards and am definitely going to do more of my cards this way.   It's a lot of fun  creating them and it saves using up my DP.  Although I still have so much of that I don't think I will ever get to use it up, LOL!!!

These two cards are almost identical so I thought I would share them together.
The poinsettias were made with a die from Poppy Crafts and the Pine Branch die is from Impression Obsession.

The sentiment on Card 1 was printed, punched out and covered with an epoxy sticker ..
,, and on Card 2, I used a simple gold sticker.
Added a few prills and micro beads although I wasn't really happy with the result on card 1.  I think the colour is wrong but, once they are down, it's impossible to get them off again.
Was a bit happier with the result on card 2 .. but still, not quite what I wanted.
Should perhaps have used green.
Inside Card 1.
Inside Card 2.
Card 1 full frontal ..
.. and, Card 2.

Not quite sure about using the red cardstock base.  I think they may have looked better with a white base.  Still, I'm not unhappy with them so I guess they will do.

Have you started making your Christmas cards and decorations yet??
Dare I say there are only about 8 weeks to go??  Scary isn't it??

Thank you for stopping by to take a look.  It's always so nice to have you visit and, whatever you are planning to do, make it a great day my friends.
Take care and God Bless.
Hugs xx

Getting ready for Christmas

Hello my dear friends and lovelies!!  So pleased you dropped by.
Hope you are all having a wonderful day.

Well, I have finally started making my Christmas cards.
You might be thinking that it's still only October, but I'm thinking 'Oh my goodness!!  It's near the end of October already and I haven't even started on my Christmas cards!!!!'   LOL!!

For a little while now I have been testing different techniques on making Masterboards and I finally did one for Christmas that I really liked.  It is much the same as one I did a while ago (you can check it out here if you wish) and, just as I did back then, I have cut this one up to create my cards.
This piece has been matted on some green cardstock.

The Distress Ink colours used for the background are Forest Moss, Crushed Olive, Fired Brick and Wild Honey.   The poinsettia stencil is from Tim Holtz.   It was one of the things I purchased from Funky Junky Boutique with the voucher I was lucky enough to win from Mini Album Makers Challenge Blog.
To construct the layers under the cluster, I used some corrugated board (which was lightly swiped with gesso) half of a die cut doily and, somewhere underneath it all, there is a small piece of gauze as well.
Created the flair sentiment by printing it, punching it out and covering it with an Epoxy Sticker.
Easy Peasy!

Another piece of the Masterboard on the inside ..
.. and the full frontal!!
I will have a few more of these to share with you.  As a matter of fact, I will probably bore you silly with all the Christmas cards I will be sharing over the next month or more so I will apologise for that up front .. LOL!!

Have you started your Christmas preparations yet??   I usually end up leaving mine till the last minute and then get totally stressed out in the rush.   Hopefully I will get all my cards made soon (??!!??  Ha!!)  and then I can concentrate on the rest.  I did say 'Hopefully'.  LOL!!

Thank you so much for dropping by and taking a look.
Have a wonderful day!!
Take care and God Bless.

The Last of my Christmas Cards for 2016!!

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog!

Well, I am about to share the very last of my Christmas Cards for this year and this will also be my last post for this year as well.  Cannot believe how quickly the year has flown by .. every year seems to go by faster and faster .. must be getting old!!  LOL!!

So, I have three cards to share today.

Using all the same things that I have used on my Christmas cards shared previously.
Kaisercraft papers, Impression Obsession die - Pine Branch 021-N ..

.. Made my own greeting by printing it on my computer and then covering it with an epoxy sticker  (Thanks again Lizzy Hill) ..

Gold star stickers, a little gauze, some small flowers and berries for the cluster.

A silver ribbon bow, Aleene's True Snow and some splatters of white paint.

 The inside ..

.. Voila!!

Card Number #2

Similar to Number #1 .. paper from the same collection, similar design with just a few different embellies.
A Scrapmatts chippie instead of a flair ..

.. some coloured baubles added to the cluster ..

.. a larger bloom and an added diecut (Memory Box - Snowflake Spray)

More gold star stickers ..

.. the inside ..

.. and done!!

Last, but not least, as they say ..

This card has an extended base.

Pomegranate apples, tiny roses, berries and the same pine branch diecut.

Same star stickers

The greeting is from the signature strip of a Maja sheet.

Need I say it??  The inside LOL!!

.. and, again,  Voila!!!

You will be happy to know, I think, that this is the absolute last of my Christmas cards.  At least until next year when we can do it all over again!!  LOL!!

I would like to thank all of you who popped in to take a look at my little creations throughout this past year and a very special thank you to those of you who also left a comment.
I really appreciate the love and encouragement you have all shown me and hope you will continue to come by in the new year.

As this is my last post for the year, may I wish you all a Joyful, Healthy, Prosperous and
Happy New Year!!
May God Bless and protect you all through 2017 and beyond.
